Ultra Luxury
Even from the air, you have to look closely to spot Canada’s Fawn Bluff Private Lodge. The estate is located in a very remote setting in the Great Bear Rainforest on Bute Inlet, one hour by seaplane from Vancouver. Here, in the wilderness of British Columbia, privacy is a very, very big deal. The former home of Hollywood star Michelle Pfeiffer offers guests not only a 15-strong team, but also plenty of natural wonders. Those keen to spend time here need to be quick: the lodge is only open from 1 June to 20 September.

Guests at Fawn Bluff have an impressive 137 hectares (338 acres) all to themselves. The lodge accommodates up to twelve people: three suites and two king rooms are located in the Main Lodge, with one additional room in the romantic Lake Lodge.

Privacy is a top priority at the lodge, and the team adapts the stay to guests’ individual wishes. This also applies to the culinary experience: the cuisine is regional, but there are no fixed rules for mealtimes or menus. Guests decide what and when they would like to enjoy.

Those who prefer not to arrive by seaplane can travel to Fawn Bluff by helicopter or boat instead. The long jetty is not just the arrival point, but also doubles as a relaxed chill-out spot with maximum nature highlights. With a little luck, guests might even spot orcas from here.

Fawn Bluff has plenty of experiences in store, with whales, dolphins, otters and bears all found around the lodge. Kayaking and boat tours are included, making it easy to explore the surrounding nature from the water. Mountain hiking is available at an additional cost.
