LuxuryWise Fam Trip to Corfu
Longevity Event "Live Well for Longer" · June 4–7, 2026
Let’s be honest: most of what the experts brought in by Mar-Bella Collection for the longevity event had to say – we’ve known it for a while. Or at least felt it intuitively. Sleep more, stress less, move more, eat better. Easier said than done. The real challenge kicks in after those four days on Corfu – when it’s time to actually weave these insights into everyday life. LuxuryWise was on the ground: here are our impressions from the event.

Corfu in Bloom
Corfu is already one of the greenest islands in Greece. In June, right in time for the four-day longevity event, it shows off its absolute best side. The scent of flowers is everywhere!

Opening Panel
The kickoff takes place in the Nido Hotel’s kafenion. In a relaxed atmosphere, the big questions get tackled head-on: How do we live healthier – and maybe just a little longer?

Expert Powerhouse
Sleep, hormones, nutrition, movement, and stress management: specialists from a wide range of disciplines have made the trip. Plenty of knowledge – zero finger-wagging.

Packed Program
The four-day event lineup includes workshops, talks, and hands-on sessions. Lots of input, plenty of aha moments, and above all the one burning question: What actually sticks once you’re back in real life?

Yoga for Beginners
Newbies get to wrap things up in style – once they’ve successfully nailed downward dog, they’re rewarded with a breathtaking view over the Nido bay. A workout couldn’t end better.

Yoga for the Advanced
One round of yoga isn’t enough for everyone. Wellness advocate Mihaela Novak shows in a second session what the next level looks like – and just how much room to grow there still is.

Hormone Dance
Hormones going haywire? By the way, that’s not just a women’s thing. Hormone whisperer Dr. Sohère Roked comes armed with explanations, context, and plenty of practical tips.

Ommmm…
Relaxation is a skill – and apparently one that needs practice. Mindfulness expert Ady Lloyd has already coached top performers on how to downshift and actually switch off. He calls it: checking into your own body.

Getting Out & About
Corfu Town is simply too beautiful to ignore. Half an hour away – a quick escape from site inspections and longevity sessions, perfect for clearing your head. Which is kind of the whole point!

It’s all about Food
In a nutrition and diets workshop held in an Avali cabana, the gloves come off. Expert and online clinic founder Beanie Robinson dissects myths, busts Instagram diets, and delivers practical, everyday-ready nutrition strategies.

There‘s Hope!
Sleep therapist Risa Gabrielle Merl is convinced of it – and explains why sleep is a cornerstone of a healthy life. Plenty of what she shares we already know, like keeping your phone out of the bedroom. But a surprising amount, we really don’t.

Efcharisto poli – Thanks!
Yep, many of the points raised are somehow familiar or make total sense. Now it’s "just" a matter of internalizing them and actually doing the work. Go for it, dear author of these lines! And a heartfelt efcharistó to the Mar-Bella Collection team!
Three Questions for the Mar-Bella Sales Pros

Periklis Gompakis
Chief Commercial Officer
What’s your takeaway from the longevity event – and will you bring it back next year?
"Our key insight is that building a sustainable wellness philosophy takes staying power and consistency. The strong interest and active participation – from international hotel guests and locals alike – shows that demand for science-backed wellness offerings is very real. Since this approach is already woven into the Mar-Bella Collection guest experience, the 'Living Well for Longer' format integrates seamlessly. While longevity is currently one of hospitality’s biggest trends, we want to go well beyond surface-level initiatives. This year’s event brought guests and team members together with experts in nutrition, sleep, active aging, stress management, and hormonal health – delivering practically applicable, scientifically grounded knowledge. Given the overwhelmingly positive response, we plan to continue, evolve, and firmly establish the concept as a cornerstone of the Mar-Bella Collection experience next year."
What do you offer guests outside the event on the topic of longevity?
"The 'Living Well for Longer' series is the flagship of a philosophy we live by daily across our four properties on Corfu and in Parga. We embed longevity principles into the guest experience through two core pillars: movement and recovery. On the movement side, we’re continuing our successful partnership with Oyogo at Nido, Elix, and Avali – a daily, complimentary program of yoga, Pilates, stretching, and HIIT that makes movement a natural part of every stay. On the recovery side, our revamped spa menus across all properties feature Sothys products, blending cosmetic science with the power of nature to support physical regeneration. At Avali, guests can also enjoy Signature Treatments like Hanakasumi or Comfort Cocoon in an outdoor treatment pavilion overlooking the sea. This way, we ensure that science-backed longevity and wellness concepts are accessible to our guests year-round."
Many hotels are feeling the trend toward last-minute bookings – even in the luxury segment. Is Mar-Bella Collection seeing the same?
"Yes, we’re seeing this trend too – and for us, it’s a natural fit with the rhythm of our season. It simply reflects how today’s modern travelers plan their time. Thanks to the breadth of the Mar-Bella Collection portfolio, we’re well-positioned to accommodate these booking windows. Our focus remains squarely on guest comfort. Through digital tools like the Mar-Bella Collection App, even last-minute bookers can reserve à-la-carte restaurants, activities, and Sothys spa treatments before they even arrive. Our Corfu setup adds another layer of flexibility: our three properties – MarBella, Avali, and Nido – each cater to different guest profiles, yet share the same coastline. Through offerings like the 'Dine Around' program, guests can – subject to each property’s guidelines – use the restaurants and facilities of the sister hotels. So even spontaneous travelers enjoy the personal atmosphere of their chosen property while benefiting from the full resort experience."

Resort Concept 2026

Why settle for one hotel when clients can enjoy three at once? With the new boutique hotel Avali, Mar-Bella Collection has completed its Corfu trio this season. The three properties sit right next to each other and share one beautifully uncomplicated motto: book one, experience all three. Hotel-hopping made easy – no matter where you check in, the doors, pools, and beaches of the two sister hotels are open to guests (with a simple sign-in). It all culminates in the culinary highlight: the Dine Around concept spanning 21 F&B outlets.
Newcomer Avali

Having opened only toward the end of last season in 2025, Avali is now kicking off its first "real" full season – and is making a strong splash in the European market. While UK remains the top source market across all Mar-Bella Collection properties, Avali’s gap with German-speaking guests is remarkably small. The adults-friendly Boho-Chic hotel offers 76 rooms and suites (children ages 6 and up are welcome) and, like its big sister MarBella, is available exclusively on an all-inclusive basis (Nido offers B&B and half-board options). The standout room category: six Panorama Junior Suites with private pool – overlooking the main pool and the shimmering Ionian Sea.
Nido Expansion

The adults-only resort Nido – nestled picturesquely against a green hillside, its flowering gardens and natural stone pathways evoking a charming Corfiot village more than a hotel – is getting bigger. Come the start of the 2028 season, the beloved property will gain a new wing, also built with two-story structures. The crown jewel of the expansion: 25 new Deluxe Junior Suites with dreamy sea views and private pools.
