The Accomodations
At the heart of the estate is its namesake, Hope Lodge. It is home to only seven guestrooms, bearing suitably Gaelic names, among them the Breagha Room and Failte Room. Originally built as a hunting lodge in 1871, the property was given a new lease on life with the opening of Hope Lodge by Wildland in May 2026. Three separate accommodations are positioned in different locations around the vast estate: two-bedroom An Cala in the woods, three-bedroom Keeper’s Cottage and two-bedroom Ferryman’s Cottage, with the latter two set on the shores of Loch Hope. From November through June, the entire property can be booked for exclusive use, welcoming groups of up to 20 guests in total. Its luxurious interior design is intended to reflect the traditional Scottish Highland way of life, combining numerous wood and stone elements with carefully selected antiques and characteristic materials such as tweed and elegant linen.

The Culinary
Guests at Hope Lodge – whether staying as part of a buy-out or traveling independently – enjoy the estate’s full service. A private chef and dedicated culinary team take care of all things gastronomic, with a distinctly Scottish touch. Local dishes feature ingredients sourced from the surrounding region or the estate itself, always adapted to the season. In addition to breakfast, a classic lunch and dinner, guests can opt for a lunchtime picnic outdoors. Traditional afternoon tea is also served at Hope Lodge, while evenings bring Scottish whisky at the bar. Good to know: An Cala, Keeper’s Cottage and Ferryman’s Cottage are exclusively self-catering.
The Experiences
On an estate spanning tens of thousands of hectares, one thing is guaranteed: experiences! Preserving nature and sharing their knowledge of it with guests are key priorities for Hope Lodge’s owners. Accompanied by the ghillies, Scotland’s knowledgeable outdoor guides, guests can explore the grounds, set off on fishing trips, hike through the Highlands and visit waterfalls. Those who prefer to head out independently are provided with everything they need – from boats to boots. Rabbit Island, for example, makes a rewarding destination. Speaking of water: stand-up paddleboarding (pictured) off Scotland’s northern coast is every bit as memorable as kayaking or taking a cold plunge in Loch Hope. Guests curious about local herbs and other wild ingredients can join the culinary team on a foraging walk. A small gym is conveniently located in the Clachan, the estate’s communal meeting place, while dedicated rooms are available for wellness treatments.
