"Demand remains strong. Naturally, summer is a little quieter, as it is every year, but short-term demand for fall and winter, as well as for the first quarter of 2027, is very high. Around 60 percent of clients do ask for either a nonstop flight or a connection with Turkish Airlines, but that is the only change we have noticed. Emirates, Qatar Airways and Etihad are also being booked with far fewer concerns again, particularly for next year – which, in my opinion, offers some grounds for optimism. I would say that the Maldives remain the number one destination in terms of demand, simply because the proportion of repeat guests is exceptionally high. However, we are also seeing increased interest in Sri Lanka. We often combine it with the Maldives, as Sri Lanka is not an alternative to the well-known islands, but a perfect complement to them. The Seychelles have also recently seen a strong resurgence in interest, partly due to the opening of Cheval Blanc. As for new hotels, there are several interesting openings on the horizon, but I am particularly excited about Bulgari Maldives, Aman Maldives and, of course, Fregate Island! These are also the hotels our clients ask us about very regularly. When it comes to special events, our clients see them as a welcome add-on, but they are not a deciding factor when booking. In my opinion, this is partly because our clients’ travel dates are often very firmly set, with little flexibility. As a result, they cannot plan their vacation around the one particular week when a celebrity chef happens to be at the hotel. Unfortunately, hotels also tend to announce these kinds of events at very short notice. By then, our clients have often booked long ago – especially when traveling during school vacation periods."
