Onguma introduces new Trails Camp
Back to the roots: Onguma has opened the first glamping camp in Namibia. The Onguma Trails Camp in the Etosha region consists of four tents and offers space for a maximum of eight guests. Each tent has its own bathroom and hot tub, with a bucket shower with warm water. From the camp, guests go on walking safaris with a guide and, with a bit of luck, you might spot the Big Five. Stays of two or three nights are possible from April to September. Good to know: W-LAN is not available.

Aranui Cruises receives another ship
The cargo and passenger ship Aranui V is a sailing legend in the South Seas. From 2027, it will be joined by its new sister ship Aranoa. With space for 198 passengers in 93 cabins (62 with balconies), it will sail from Tahiti to the rather remote Austral Islands. The new connection is intended to support and strengthen the development of the archipelago. There are two restaurants, bars, a pool, a tattoo studio, a spa, and even a fitness center on board. The interior of the new ship is elegant and modern.

Sani Club gets a style upgrade
The Sani Club, part of the Sani Resort on Halkidiki, will unveil its renovated rooms in April. Designers have gone with warm earth tones and natural materials to create a relaxed, inviting atmosphere. Large windows let in plenty of natural light and offer beautiful views. By June, the outdoor areas will have been updated, including the addition of a beach promenade. In 2029, the Sani/Ikos Group is set to launch its first Ikos Grand Resort with the opening of Ikos Kassandra on Halkidiki.

One&Only makes US resort bookable
Hello, Montana! One&Only’s first U.S. property is now open for reservations. The One&Only Moonlight Basin, located in Big Sky, is set to open on November 18 and will operate year-round. The resort will include the One&Only Sky Lodge for skiers and its own private ski lift. This winter will also see the debut of a new restaurant by Akira Back, one of six planned F&B outlets. One&Only is also introducing brand-new Private Homes for rent, including the luxurious new Montana House.

SIA serves Heiko Nieder menus
Gourmet flights above the clouds: menus by celebrity chef Heiko Nieder will be served in Singapore Airlines (SIA) First and Business Class in the second half of the year. Nieder, Chef Fine Dining at the Dolder Grand luxury hotel in Zurich, is joining SIA as a Guest Chef. From July to September, dishes like lobster and hake will be served in First, while Business Class guests can look forward to prawns with beetroot steak tartare – now available on all SIA flights departing from Zurich, Switzerland.

W Maldives opens after renovation
For twelve months, the W Maldives in the North Ari Atoll underwent a full transformation. The resort features 77 villas, including new categories, with standout additions like the two Oasis Villas, each featuring a private waterslide straight into the sea. Also new are the Supreme Overwater Villas and Oasis Overwater Villas, making their debut this season. The resort’s restaurants have been completely redesigned as well, and guests can look forward to culinary pop-up events with international chefs.
