Drop Those Desert Beats
The landscape of AlUla in Saudi Arabia is spectacular in itself, but with the light installations and stage sets at the Azimuth music festival the red rocks are even more dazzling. If this has been on your clients' radar you're in luck: the festival is on again this year, from September 19-21st. While the line-up is currently being finalized, what is certain is that there'll be high-caliber acts. Previously, stars and bands like Jason Derulo, The Chainsmokers, and The Kooks have performed at Azimuth. Art and culture are also significant parts of the event. More Info
Haute Couture'oeuvres
Pardon my French, but is that enough vowels? Just checking. It's not just a feast for the eyes (the words too), but also for the palate: at Rosewood Munich, guests can now book the Art Afternoon Tea, which is dedicated to the designers Victor & Rolf. The angle is that Munich's Kunsthalle is currently hosting the exhibition "Viktor & Rolf. Fashion Statements." The hotel's Executive Pastry Chef has taken the opportunity to create sweet likenesses of the exhibition pieces for afternoon tea. Fun idea! Afternoon tea guests receive a discount for the exhibition, which is a charming bonus. More Info

Helicopter Herbalist
Do your clients like gin? Then Darwin just shot to the top of your list! In the city of Australia's Northern Territory, they can help the Darwin Distilling Co. find the right herbs – by helicopter. Heli-foraging (yes, that's a thing) begins by coasting over impressive landscapes like swamps and steep slopes to Finniss River Lodge. Once there, a two-hour herb search begins – by airboat or ATV, searching for herbs like water lily and paper birch. The excursion ends back in Darwin with lunch at Charlies of Darwin, which includes a gin distillation course, a tasting, and a gift bottle (filled). More Info
Boxing Like Balboa
Testing one's own limits is exciting – and particularly enjoyable at Como Uma Canggu in Bali, where from October 22nd to 27th boxing professionals Darren Barker and Ryan Pickard will host a boxing camp. Participants will learn to improve their hand-eye coordination, increase stamina, and strengthen their self defense techniques. But physicality isn't everything: the program will also focus on meditation for mental health. One bonus is that the "Little Boxers Camp" will take place for the next generation from October 17th to 22nd. More Info

Highwheelin' Hoedown
Well how about that?! Penny-farthings wherever you look! Every summer in Frederick, Maryland – about an hour's drive from Washington, DC – the phenomenal National Clustered Spires High Wheel Bike Race takes place where riders mount historic high wheel replicas on a 650-meter (710yd.) course through the town, cheered on by the townsfolk. Two qualifying rounds precede the final contest. On top of the cool 1880s-era bikes, the participants' outfits also play a big role – the crazier the better! More Info
