Quark Plans New Expedition Ship
Starting in November 2026, the World Voyager (pictured) will replace the World Explorer. The new expedition ship in the Quark Expeditions fleet offers space for 168 passengers. The new "Science & Discover" program for polar research will be offered on all World Voyager departures. Quark Expeditions has also just made the 2026/27 Antarctic season available for bookings. The season offers new routes and workshops where passengers can enjoy various activities, like identifying marine mammals.

Turkish Airlines Gets Tokyo Lounge
Turkish Airlines has opened its largest lounge outside Turkey at Tokyo-Narita Airport in Japan. Located in the south wing of Terminal 1 (Satellite Building 4, Gate 47), it currently measures 800 square meters (8,611sq. ft) and offers space for 105 passengers. An expansion is already planned to double its size. Access is available to Miles & Smiles Elite and Elite Plus cardholders as well as Star Alliance Gold members and First and Business passengers of Star Alliance members. It's open daily from 7:30am to 9:45pm.
Aman Nai Lert Launches in April
It's been a long-anticipated and long-awaited opening, but the Aman Nai Lert in Bangkok is now accepting its first bookings. The opening of the third urban resort after the hotels in New York and Tokyo is planned for April 2nd. The hotel will house 52 suites with a minimum area of 94 square meters (1,012sq. ft.) and will have an Aman Club. A wellness and spa area of 1,500 square meters (16,146sq. ft.) is also planned. The hotel's facilities will be complemented by an infinity pool, a cigar lounge, and several restaurants.
Crystal Cruises 2027 Now Bookable
Cruises with Crystal Cruises are now bookable including the first half of 2027. The Crystal Serenity will start its world tour in San Diego in January, stopping off in Cabo San Lucas, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Peru, and Easter Island among other destinations. She will then sail across to the South Pacific, Australia, New Zealand, and later to Asia and Alaska. The voyage ends in Vancouver. The sister ship Crystal Symphony first sails in the Caribbean before heading across the Atlantic towards the Mediterranean in March.
Wilderness Gets New Rwanda Lodge
Starting in September, Wilderness Safaris will also be operating the new Wilderness Magashi Peninsula camp in Rwanda. It is located around 15 minutes by car from Wilderness Magashi in the eastern part of the country. Guests can go on safari in the surrounding Akagera National Park, as well as on the Magashi Peninsula. The complex is run as an exclusive camp with just one villa for four people and two further rooms that can also accommodate four people. Nice touch: they are equipped with a plunge pool.
