Discovery of the Month

It's only about 45 minutes from the fashion of Paris. Nevertheless, La Ferme de Vallées feels like another world. Situated on an old farm, the hotel provides mixed vibes of country house charm and French chic. It's only about 45 minutes from the fashion of Paris. Nevertheless, La Ferme de Vallées feels like another world. Situated on an old farm, the hotel provides mixed vibes of country house charm and French chic. La Ferme, which opened last September, is located on the grounds of the luxury hotel Abbaye des Vaux-de-Cernay.

The Accommodation

Nostalgic flair dominates at La Ferme de Vallées, which consists of four buildings of various size: Corps de Ferme, Le Lavoir, La Grange, and The Cottage. The 38 rooms spread among them come in three categories: Cosy Room, Superior Room, and Deluxe Room. The Cottage farmhouse is equipped with an additional five rooms (Cottage Rooms), and is also available as a buy-out. It's a great option for families and has a kitchen with a terracotta floor, a living room, and a dining room. At 29 square meters (312sq. ft.), the Deluxe Room (pictured) is the largest option and ideal for guests who like floral wallpaper patterns and antique furniture. These can be found above all in the Corps de Ferme. La Grange is best for guests who love bed canopies, while La Lavoir boasts high ceilings.

The Culinary

La Trattoria di Bambini welcomes its guests in a cozy farmhouse style. The Ferme de Vallées restaurant derives its name from the famous Il Bambini restaurant of the Paris Society, which also includes Abbaye des Vaux-de-Cernay and La Ferme. The menu features simple and classic Italian dishes such as truffle tagliatelle, pizza from the wood-fired oven, and tiramisu. Nothing tastes like home! Breakfast, which is included in the room rate, is served daily. Snacks such as waffles, fruit, and cakes are also included and served every day at 4pm as part of the typical French goûter, a kind of tasting session. In the evening, the bar serves classic and modern drinks and French wines.

The Activities

If clients prefer, they don't even have to leave La Ferme de Vallées to have small adventures. There are lots of donkeys, rabbits, chickens, and goats on the farm, which are of course going to be a highlight for the kids. Guests can take advantage of the activities offered by the former Cistercian monastery Abbaye des Vaux-de-Cernay. It's only about a 15 minute walk away, but a buggy/shuttle service is also available on the sprawling estate. The range of activities is numerous and varied: from the cinema to the gaming room, bicycles and a pool to pedal boats and paddle boats. Additional offers are available – holistic workshops, helicopter flights over the region, and horse riding lessons can also be booked. Beauty and wellness courses are available for a fee. There are also special programs for children.
