LHW Launches New Experiences
The Leading Hotels of the World (LHW) have unveiled an lineup of new Immersive Experiences – exclusive, members-only offerings available to those enrolled in the brand’s Leaders Club loyalty program. Designed to elevate each hotel stay, the experiences include a backstage tour at the opera in Verona, a VIP visit to the historic Newby Hall & Gardens, and a private three-hour yacht cruise through the Bay of Kotor (pictured), complete with a gourmet luxury picnic served on board.
Capella Debuts in Europe in 2027
Luxury brand Capella is set to open in Florence in Tuscany in 2027, bringing 89 rooms and suites, plus ten private residences, to a restored 12th-century monastery near the Piazza della Libertà. The historic Italian building will be reimagined with features like two restaurants, a rooftop bar, a speakeasy-style wine cellar, an amphitheater, and a 600-square-meter spa. The hotel’s design blends heritage with contemporary luxury. The Florence hotel will be the brand's first in Europe.
Silversea Introduces Galapagos Charter
Starting now, Silversea guests will enjoy a smoother journey to the Galápagos Islands thanks to new exclusive charter flights – nonstop from Quíto to San Cristobal island, skipping the stop in Guayaquil. Guests will enjoy private check-in, a blocked middle seat, and an elevated onboard dining experience. To enhance the experience, Silversea is also introducing curated pre- and post-cruise programs allowing travelers to explore both Quito and the Galápagos Islands.
SHA Spain Unveils redesigned Suites
Designed to elevate the overall wellness experience, SHA Wellness Clinic in Alicante has unveiled its newly redesigned SHA Suites. A total of 21 accommodations have been refreshed to offer more space, functionality, and comfort. These serene retreats feature bright, calming interiors, freestanding bathtubs, and dedicated work areas. The standout stars: three revamped Grand Suites, each offering 121 square meters (1,302 square feet) of living space plus a spacious terrace complete with a private whirlpool.
Aqua Expeditions Presents Premieres
Aqua Expeditions has been cruising Indonesian waters for some time with its yacht, Aqua Blu. Now, the company is launching a new adventure: from December 19 to 26, 2026, the vessel will embark on its first seven-day expedition through South Raja Ampat. Additional sailings are scheduled for January, February, and March 2027. Highlights include stops at Daram Island, Sabuda, Boo Island, and Kapatcol – a haven for bird lovers. Along the way, up to 30 guests can dive, snorkel, or enjoy water sports like kayaking.
Qatar Airways Goes Gourmet
High-end airline Qatar Airways has just partnered with Michelin-starred chef Yannick Alléno, who will now craft the menus for the airline’s First and Business Class cabins. But the culinary journey doesn’t stop in the air – passengers can also enjoy Alléno’s signature dishes on the ground. A new Pavyllon restaurant will open in the First Class Lounge at Hamad International Airport in Qatar's capital Doha, while Alléno will also take charge of the lounge dining experience at Paris Charles de Gaulle airport.
