Inspirations for Luxury Moments

Introducing: Vivienne!
To mark the first birthday of Atlantis The Royal in Dubai, six of Louis Vuitton's iconic Vivienne sculptures have been installed at the resort. A digital map shows the locations of the three-meter-high (10ft.) figures. Once you've found them, you can interact with them. Each one has a QR code that guests can use to immerse themselves in the world of Louis Vuitton, and there are other digital figures that can be discovered via smartphone. The resort cap's it off with designer vibes at the Cloud 22 rooftop pool, where the furniture and accessories were provided by Dolce & Gabbana. More Info
Deep Sea Denizens
Dive in, please! Visitors to the Caribbean island of St. Maarten can now quench their thirst for art underwater. The underwater sculpture park Under SXM has been created off Little Bay and features more than 300 exhibits that tell the story of the island. They are arranged in a course that snorkelers can explore on guided excursions. Residents of St. Maarten were the models for the sculptures. The figures are made from environmentally friendly materials and are intended to protect marine animals and offer them places of refuge. More Info

Heavenly Camp
If you want to become one with nature, there's a new way to do it in South Africa. Sky Camp, South Africa's first mirrored glass cabin, is located in the Aristea Private Nature Reserve, part of the Cape Floral UNESCO World Heritage Site. The water comes from the mountains and the electricity is generated by the sun. Apart from the trees and a fabulously clear starry sky, there's really nothing else here, so the best way to enjoy this refuge is from the bed in the glass cabin, or the private jacuzzi on your own terrace. Diamonds for Dinner
It's a first class cooperation: Shangri-La The Shard in London has partnered with Skydiamond. These diamonds are virtually "made from the sky," i.e. they are sustainably extracted from atmospheric carbon. Guests at the hotel can now book the Skydiamond Experience for a special occasion in a suite of their choice. If a shopping frenzy is in the cards, the experience includes a private Skydiamond consultation, during which guests have access to a special collection. More Info

Bedouin Beach
Guests at Emerald Maldives Resort & Spa can now book an unusual dining experience: the Zarb Dinner. The experience is based on the Bedouin culture and their close connection to the desert. A hole is dug in the sand, and an oven is built inside using a triple-layered steel plate and firewood. The dishes, which can be fish, meat, or vegetables depending on guests' preferences, are cooked in the oven for a few hours. The meal is then served in an elegant set-up in a Bedouin tent on the beach. More Info
