Swimmin' with the Fishes

No, we're not talking about The Godfather, we're talking about next level snorkeling! Amanpulo on the Philippine island of Pamalican has expanded its range of water sports for guests. Now they can dive down with an iBubble underwater vehicle and marvel at the marine world. The device pulls snorkelers through the water at the desired speed and makes snorkeling even more immsersive. It starts from the Kawayan Bar that floats in the middle of the sea and can be reached by a short boat ride from Amanpulo. Bonus points: The bar is for private use only and the water is particularly clear there. More Info

On Volcano Trail

Travelers in Iceland can now follow the Volcanic Way, known as "Eldfjallaleiðin" in Icelandic (whew, try to say that ten times fast!). The new route in the south leads to 17 towns and the eight largest volcanoes on the island: Fagradalsfjall, Hengill, Hekla, Eyjafjallajökull, Eldfell, Katla, Lakagígar, and Öræfajökull. They can be explored individually or in sequence along the 700-kilometer (435mi.) route. Especially nice is a map where locals have marked their favorite spots at each respective volcano station with a heart. Pro tip: each volcano takes a day to explore properly, so plan accordingly.
