Jumeirah Opens Cape Morris
With Cape Morris, the luxurious Jumeirah Burj Al Arab introduces an exclusive island experience on Dubai's World Islands. The private island is accessible only to guests staying in Jumeirah's villas and suites. Currently, visitors can book either a lunch or a sunset experience, each lasting five hours including yacht transfer. The gourmet menu is crafted by Michelin-starred chef Saverio Sbaragli. Departures start from Marsa Marina, with beach and water activities available on site.

Etihad Expands its Route Network
Etihad Airways has launched four new routes to Tunis, Hanoi, Chiang Mai, and Hong Kong, further strengthening Abu Dhabi's role as an international hub. The new routes operate several times a week: there are six flights to Tunis and Hanoi, four to Chiang Mai, and five to Hong Kong. With these new additions, Etihad's expansive network now covers more than 85 destinations, offering greater choice for both business and leisure travelers departing from the United Arab Emirates.

Frégate Island Reopens in 2026
Frégate Island in the Seychelles will reopen in fall 2026 after a complete rebuild. The two-square-kilometer (0,77 square miles) private island will offer 14 pool villas and three residences, including the Owner's Estate. At its heart, the expanded Plantation House features an open kitchen, wine cellar and patisserie. The Yacht Club and the Sunset Bar are also new. Sustainability remains key – along with protecting the 3,500 Aldabra giant tortoises. A maximum of 76 guests will be cared for by 211 staff members.

Sabi Sabi Welcomes The Claremont
Since October, The Claremont Boutique Hotel has become part of the Sabi Sabi Collection, marking the brand’s first venture beyond the African bush. This elegant 15-room hideaway in Cape Town's leafy Claremont suburb combines historic architecture with contemporary comfort. Cunard Opens Winter Bookings 2027/28
Between October 2027 and May 2028, Cunard's Queen fleet will sail 107 routes to visit a total of 97 destinations across 47 countries. The schedule also includes 22 overnight port calls and 23 late departures. Among the highlights are two extensive world cruises: Queen Anne will circumnavigate the globe westbound on a 115-night journey roundtrip from Hamburg, Germany, while Queen Elizabeth departs Southampton, England, eastbound for a 113-night voyage featuring first-time calls in Vietnam, Fiji, and Grenada.

Anantara Debuts in South America
Minor Hotels has announced the Anantara Ushuaia Patagonia Resort for 2028. The new-build property in the Costa Susana waterfront area will feature 60 rooms and suites, a sea-level spa, restaurants, and meeting spaces. Located just minutes from Tierra del Fuego National Park, the resort will emphasize sustainability. Its prime setting serves as a gateway to Antarctica, with access to ski resorts, the "End of the World" train, and luxury cruises. Ushuaia Airport provides convenient connections to Buenos Aires.
