Mallorca is always a good idea, especially when a hotel like the Sant Jaume awaits your clients. Snuggled between an old Gothic church and a former monastery, the boutique from It Mallorca Hotels' portfolio emphasizes design with plenty of flair. That makes it a perfect starting point for exploring Palma's secret corners and less-trodden alleyways.
The Accommodations
An 18th-century mansion is the backdrop for the unique vibe at Sant Jaume. The entry-level category Deluxe Room ranges from 25-35 square meters (270-377sq. ft.), with the masterpiece of the hotel being the Sant Jaume Suite (pictured). At 50 square meters (538sq. ft.) plus a 30-square-meter (323sq. ft.) terrace it offers a lot of space right in the middle of Palma – with a view of the old town and the cathedral. Anyone looking for a size in between can choose a Junior Suite, which is bookable with or without a terrace. Design-wise the hotel's mainstays are natural light and earthy colors with stylish elements. Funky-chic lights can be found throughout the hotel, and the furniture has a modern edge. Landscape paintings adorn the walls to create even more authentic Mallorcan feeling.

The Culinary
Sant Jaume does not have an opulent restaurant, but what it lacks here it more than makes up for with its chic and well-stocked bar. The attention to detail paid to its design is positively meticulous. Blue hues and earth tones set the stage, while plants and eye-catching light fixtures create a sophisticated flair in a feel-good atmosphere. The bar, which also serves tapas, has its own reputation as a local highlight, having earned appreciation from Mallorcans and art fans alike. Good to know: even though there's no restaurant, they still serve breakfast buffet style at Sant Jaume with freshly baked goods, as well as local specialties, hot dishes, fruit, and yogurt. Vegan and gluten-free guests have also been properly considered with a range of their own selections.
The Experiences
The roof terrace (pictured) is the biggest highlight of the hotel. It's a great place to chill out – literally! Not only is there a low-key vibe, but a dip in the pool keeps you cool. On top of that, the Sant Jaume also has a small spa, where the Finnish sauna and a jacuzzi can be reserved, so hotel guests can enjoy them in privacy. Various works by local artists Robert Ferrer i Martorell, Estefania Pomar & Victoria Masdeu, and Jordi Alcaraz will please art fans. And this urban oasis has another ace up its sleeve as guests can charter a Paredo 43 yacht and sail it off Mallorca's coast for a day out on the water. The concierge service, upon which the hotels of It Mallorca place particular importance, assists with all preparations for excursions like these, as they do for all other wishes.
