Luxury Ambassador of the Month
Ming Hongsuchon, Managing Director World Travel Designer · Thailand
What sparked your passion for luxury travel?
"My passion for travel comes from curiosity and discovery. As a professor of global marketing and an entrepreneur, I have always seen travel as one of the most powerful ways to learn about people, cultures, and perspectives. What I love most is creating journeys that are not just about visiting places but about living them – helping clients return home with deeper connections, fresh inspiration, and unforgettable memories."

Which travel themes do you specialize in?
"I specialize in luxury expedition cruising, particularly to the polar regions – Antarctica and the Arctic – where the landscapes are beyond imagination and the experience is truly transformative. At the same time, I am passionate about cultural travel, where every detail of a journey is steeped in meaning. Japan is a wonderful example: its cuisine, craftsmanship, and hospitality all reflect centuries of tradition. I enjoy guiding clients to experiences where culture is not only observed but deeply felt."
What was the funniest request a client ever asked you for?
"I don’t think of client requests as funny, because each one reflects something important to them. Some are unusual, such as planning sunrise photo sessions at 4 a.m. or arranging adventurous ATV rides so parents can share a thrill with their teenagers. I’ve even had clients ask for a last-minute holiday simply because their family was away and they didn’t want to stay home alone. For me, these requests show the trust clients place in us, and I take pride in turning spontaneous ideas into meaningful journeys."
Have you ever been to a hotel that has really exceeded your expectations?
"In luxury travel, expectations are always high, but what makes a property exceptional is people and service. I still remember a stay at the Mandarin Oriental in Milan, when I asked a gentleman for directions on the street. He not only guided me personally to my destination, but I later discovered he was a hotel staff member who remembered me. That genuine care and attention to detail is what turns hospitality into something truly unforgettable."
Of all the trips you have taken in your life so far: What was the most emotional goosebump moment?
"Antarctica gave me the strongest goosebump moment. Standing on the deck surrounded by vast silence, towering icebergs, and endless horizons, I felt both small and profoundly connected to the planet. It was a reminder of how travel can move us beyond imagination and change the way we see the world."
Which destinations are still on your personal bucket list?
"There are still many places I dream of exploring. The Geographic North Pole and East Antarctica remain the ultimate frontiers for true polar exploration. A Nile River cruise in Egypt would be a journey through one of the world’s most ancient civilizations, while India’s Ajanta Caves reveal extraordinary art and spiritual heritage. In Europe, the British Isles fascinate me for their blend of history and rugged landscapes, while Norway’s Lofoten Islands offer a mix of dramatic scenery and cultural traditions."
